Stop the presses cuz we had a day of all days! Jk. We actually did normal “every-day-people” type things today. Like got the oil changed and allowed the fast-talking machanic to sucker us into doing our 30,000 mile tune-up at his shop and went grocery shopping to buy necessities such as 2 pomegranates and $4 sabra hummus. And I ate for the first time ever at 5 Guys, a burger joint that originated in DC but has taken the entire east coast by storm. The only thing I could really eat was the grilled cheese and it was a.o.k. And we met this hippy dude who worked there who used to hitch hike around the country going to music festivals and he’s been to the 10,000 lakes festival in the great state of Minnesota but I digress. We definitely spent well over $200 today and that really hurts, but at least we know that those fluid things in the car are good and stuff? Yeah.

St. Augustine is really growing on me. Not that I ever disliked it, but little by little I like it more and more. We had another muggy hot night last night, but today this huge storm rolled in (maybe the one that dumped snow in Louisiana?) and it cooled down. Everyone here seems to think it’s super cold (it was maybe 50?), but Jake wore his shorts proudly and it still feels good to us. Tonight, after having a drink at an empty marina restaurant that had looked really promising (but wasn’t), we walked around the town and stumbled upon the movie theater that we didn’t know was there. I think it was called Pot Belly’s and it was pretty old and kinda stinky but only cost us $6 each to watch Body of Lies (which I guess is about what it’s worth). Oh, and we split a Bud for $2.92.

I guess that’s about it for St. Augustine? We’re going to Blue Spring State Park tomorrow, where I believe we might be seeing some manatees. Sea cows! Woohoo!

Somehow we ended up touring a priest's house, so I did what any normal person would do and only took pictures of beer bottles from the 1800s.
